adios garden

it's getting too cold for our garden to keep going i think. the girls and i picked what is probably just about the last of the produce in there. the tomato and bell pepper plants would keep going if it wasn't so chilly, but it is fall after all. we found a bean plant that i didn't know was producing anything, yay! i thought the rabbits had eaten it and it was a goner. earlier in the summer there were no flowers on the plant. i never really checked in and thought it was just weeds or something. there are a ton of beans in there!
emory only cared about her toes.

here's what we brought in

and this has nothing to do with anything, but i snapped this picture shortly after we came inside and i think it shows the girl's relationship so well. emory is just smitten with her sister.

she looks at her like this whenever she is near her and kicks her legs and flails her arms frantically. it's adorable.

Nice garden! I've never planted one. Maybe I should do it on my list of forty things by age forty. The only reason I don't is because once it gets hot, I would not weed it, so the only thing I'd probably grow are weeds.
