awwwwwww, this weekend totally rocked. well with one exception, the total fluke that was the nebraska/texas game. i am still totally ticked about it. oh, and i have no pictures. zero. seems to go that way with me. whenver we have a great weekend, i seem to forget about taking any pictures. or maybe i'm too caught up in what i'm doing to take them, and shouldn't it be that way? the people in front of me are more important than making sure i took a picture of what we were doing right?
friday night heith and i went on a MUCH NEEDED date! i sooooooo needed that. WE needed that. we ate dinner outside, surrounded by the energy of fans gearing up for the big game the next day. just to be in a dress, alone with my hubby, surrounded by only adults, was incredibly refreshing. with one child, we went out plenty, two children we slowed down. and then number three, well date night has become almost non existent. a friend of ours watched the little ones for us, and we will be returning the favor when they come up with a date. i hope we can start doing this more often. paying a sitter plus the date? like a hundred dollars! yikes.
saturday morning was the usual, tumbling for camryn, football practice for blake. that afternoon we set up the jump house and let the kids play while a few neighbors joined us in the garage for the game. ugh, so disappointing. of course blake was on cloud 9. crazy texas lover. i was so sure we were going to whoop them and blake would come back from the dark side. no such luck. he's an even more die hard fan now.
after the game the kids played, the adults chatted, and we started the fire for smores. so perfect.
sunday we got to go to church for the first time in.......a month i think? blake had a bye this week. it felt so good to be around our church family and catch up with everyone. the rest of the day was backyard football, soccer, NFL, clean out the car a bit, more backyard football, and oh more football.
life is so, so good.

sorry about the game. it was so sad. how did blake become a texas fan? that's all kinds of wrong.
ok i think we were just simultaneously reading each others blogs!
cool! you'll find out where we were on wed or thurs. i think thurs might be better, but either works, btw.
Sounds like a great weekend, besides the game. Didn't know Blake was such a TX fan.
