Hope you all found a special way to ring in the New Year- we sure did! Michael and I met up with our friend Matthew (who looked super sharp wearing a bow tie) for a delicious Thai dinner to start the celebration. Naturally I was too busy using chopsticks to take any pictures, but it sure was good!
Here are a few shots from our Richmond NYE:
First stop was at Can Can Brasserie for some wine and beer: : |
Don't mind my necklace's super awkward placement |
How cool are those star/snowflake lights? |
Next an appearance at a party hosted by Matthew's lovely friend Lauren:
Yes, That IS a Times Square background for photo ops. So perfect. |
Finally we went back out on the streets of Carytown to witness the Ball "Drop". We realized that being smashed by the bajillion people on the streets wasn't for us so we ducked into Secco for some champagne:
Handsome, no? |
The Ball "Drop" turned out to be a Ball Raise instead. There was a HUGE colorful lit up ball that slowly went up and changed colors at midnight:
(we were far away and this was taken through a window, but you get the idea) |
In this shot you can see how packed the streets were:
After another bottle of champagne the 3 of us parted ways and Michael and I made our way home. I may or may not have passed out the second I kicked my heels off and fell into bed. Bubbly will do that to ya, kids.
How did you all spend your special night?
