Am I the only one who misses handing out valentines like we did in elementary school? You decorate a little paper bag or mailbox and at the end of the day you get the joy of cards and candy from all your classmates, even the ones you don't get along with...since it's mandatory to give one to everyone. There's always the kids with the over-achieving PTA parents who make themed V-day cards and candy...those ones are always the best. (BTW I will SO be that parent some day. Yup. I've come to terms with it) Well, since they no longer make Saved by the Bell valentines, I had to make my own this year. I was absolutely in love with this one I saw on
Design Sponge:
I made my own version of them...
Of course I couldn't stop at just those. Naturally I needed to make one out of paint chips...
...and one out of ribbon/glitter/stock paper...
....and one with a cheesy rhyme...
...and one with "olive juice" (everyone heard that as a kid, right?)
...and one super tacky glittery one to finish off the set. Man, whichever of my family/friends gets that one, you better feel special and loved!
What did your valentines look like this year? If you find some Saved by the Bell ones let me know, and I'll toss out these ones and send those instead. Seriously.
*oooooo and make sure you come back tomorrow for an awesome guest post...I won't say who...you'll just have to see for yourself!
